50 Seats Are Reserved
Counseling for admission to all NIT B.Tech courses is conducted through the Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). 50 percent of the seats in NITs are reserved for students from the state where the NIT is located, while the remaining seats are reserved for students from other states across the country. In case of open and unreserved seats, candidates from outside the state will be required to have a higher JEE Main rank.
Last year counseling was conducted in 5 rounds
According to the information, JoSAA conducts around six rounds of counseling every year and below is the Round 1 rank on which NIT Srinagar admitted students in its B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering program in Round 5.
The cutoff had fallen in 2023
According to the data, the initial cut-off rank of NIT Srinagar for CSE admission for reserved seats in Jammu and Kashmir has fallen to 2023. The cut-off for open category seats was 11507 in 2022, but it dropped to 15838 in 2023. The preliminary cut-off rank of NIT Srinagar has fallen in 2021. The cut-off for open category JK seats was even higher. For open category seats it was 1640.
